A few months ago I was coerced (not really but I have to explain my bank statement somehow…)  by various YouTubers I watch namely Jaclyn Hill, Tati / GlamLifeGuru, and Danna Ann to buy some Makeup Geek eye-shadows.  And…. I’m Obsessed!!! They are sooo good, I just can’t get enough!  I will be doing a review in the coming week so stay tuned.  But as a teaser I’ve created this eye look for you.

Review::: TARTE Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation

I am always on the hunt for a full coverage foundation with excellent coverage and staying power til the cows come home.  And the cheaper the better!!  Well this one wasn’t cheap…. and it creases…. Like bad creases!  Bummer y’all…

I am in the shade  “Ivory” which is a good match for me and with the price tag of $38 I expected this foundation to stay put though the hottest blazes of the Florida sun.  But alas,  It creased like crazy in my air conditioned office, so I can’t imagine what it would do if I wore it outside for any length of time.   I have now tried it three times.  The first with no primer (creasing horribly), the second time with Too Faced Primed and Poreless (still slight creasing but not as bad as without any primer) and the last day I wore it with Stila One Step Correct (still creased but not as bad as with nothing).

Even with setting powder and primers, this foundation pulled around my nose and cheeks, not pretty ladies!

According to Sephora’s website   “Whether oily, dry o r combination, “skin-smart” Amazonian clay will intuitively adjust to meet and address your skin concerns for makeup that wears better, longer, and truer. This revolutionary foundation reduces the appearance of pores, discolorations, and imperfections and ensures a perfectly flawless complexion every time.”

Does it reduce the appearance of pores, discolorations and imperfections?  Yes, upon application I was impressed with the coverage and the natural finish it left on my skin.  My skin still looked like my skin, only better.  However the “skin-smart” technology?  Well it didn’t work that well for me.  If you want to give this a try I would suggest getting a sample before shelling out the dough.
