Products I’ve Hit Pan On: ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Never Been Kissed

Another ColourPop product I’ve hit pan on!  This is a beautiful color and I love the formula of the brands blushes.

I loved it so much I have rubbed off the logo on the lid!  I like to apply this blush with a stippling brush.  Either the one from e.l.f  or the Sigma F50 Duo Fiber Stippling Brush.  Really I reach for whichever one is the cleanest….

I know its a little teeny tiny sliver of the bottom of the container but I’m so proud that I was able to get through!

As you can see the color is beautiful Coral Pink that is matte.  This was a part of the 90’s collection that came out last summer and as the writing of this blog post is still up for purchase on the ColourPop website.  Check out the website to see pictures of this blush on different skin tones.  I love that ColourPop does that as its nice to see a variety of skin tones represented.

Products I’ve Hit Pan On:: Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadow in Glow

PicMonkey Collage789

I’m a big fan of Colourpop’s products. One of my favorites is their eyeshadow.  This color is a Vanilla Matte and was first only available n the Kathleen Lights collection but is now also available by itself.  I like to use this as a base for an eye look and/or as a brow bone highlight.  Right now I am not going to repurchase as I have a ton of other eye shadows and base products to go thorough but I would highly recommend it and I’m sure at some point I will buy it again.

Products I’ve Hit Pan On:: Maybelline Oil Control Translucent Pressed Powder

I picked this up when Ulta was having a buy one get one 50% off on Maybelline products a few months ago.  If you are a regular reader you know that my skin is super oily and nothing I’ve tried so far keeps my oil at bay for a significant period of time. This has oil control in the name so I thought why not!

My biggest problem with this is that it looks very powdery.  Funny I know its a powder… but even with a light hand this makes me look like I’m flat, matte and wearing powder which is not a look I’m going for. If you have dry skin this will be a not go as I can imagine it would cling like crazy to any dry areas.  I still use it, just not on its own.  I will use this up but I won’t repurchase it in the future.

Products I’ve Hit Pan On:: MAYBELLINE Fit Me Pressed Powder in Classic Ivory 120

Maybelline Says:::

Beyond matching skin tone, it fits skin’s texture.

Flawless. Beautiful. Fresh. With Fit Me!® Matte +Poreless powder foundation you can make visible pores and shine disappear while still getting perfect buildable coverage.

  • Normal to oily skin.
  • Erasing pores.
  • Mattefying shine.

Lara Says::

I do think that this powder helps to matteify however I’m sure that it does not “erase” pores.  First off I’ve never tried a product that “erased pores”  maybe filled them in and made them less noticeable but not erased.  Second,  I don’t think for the price of this drugstore powder I will be repurchasing.  I think that the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder works just as well for less then $5.  The only advantage to this product is the packaging.  It is in a compact with a mirror and sponge but that is not a selling point for me personally.  Overall this is a good product but I have used other powders that are just as good and not as expensive.

Products I’ve Hit Pan On:: theBalm DownBoy Blush

I’ve worn this blush almost everyday in some way for the past month.  Once I see a little glimmer of the bottom of a product I want to use it nonstop so I can get something new 🙂
