June 2016 Favorites

For some reason I’ve gotten away from doing monthly favorites and I want to get back!

Clinique Long Last Lipstick in All Heart — $17.00

This is a red coral and it has been living in my purse for the past month.  It feels very soft and smooth and it wears really well!

Lush Tea Tree Water Toner– $22.95

This is a good to for summer and I forgot how much I loved it!  I like to mist this on my face in the morning before I put on my makeup and sometimes throughout the day too.  It is not a makeup extending or setting spray but  I don’t find that it messes up my make up if I spray it on top.

Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm– $12.00

First off this smells amazing! It has a fresh citrus scent and is very thick in texture.  I had neglected to exfoliate my lips for a few weeks and my skin was more dry due to my acne medications and my lips were looking rough!  I used this at night and after 3 nights my lips were in great shape!

Makeup Geek Blush in Spell Bound– $10.00

This is the old formula but I still love it!  The color is a salmon pink and finish is matte. The pigmentation is great for these blushes and you can’t beat the price.

benefit Erase Paste Brightening Concealer in Fair– $26.00

I have almost hit pan on this jar!  I like the consistency of this concealer as it is thick (so it has good coverage) but it is also very creamy and easy to blend.  I do have to make sure I set it with a powder but it lasts all day and does a great job of covering up the darkness under and in the corner of my eyes.

Soap and Glory  The Scrub of Your Life– $12.00

This is a good scrub if you are looking for something that isn’t too harsh.  The scent is light and a combination of floral and citrus.  You can pick this up in the US at Ulta!

Marc Jacobs Dot Perfume–$96.00

I think I only wore this scent for a solid week in June.  It has a nice combination of floral and fruity that I love.  The notes are Red Berries, Dragonfruit, Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Coconut Water, Orange Blossom, Vanilla, Driftwood, Musk.  On me I feel like the musk, Jasmine and Vanilla really come through and it has a nice lingering scent.

BH Cosmetics Pride+Prejudice+Zombies Eye and Cheek Palette– $12.50

This has been my go to this past month. The variety of colors and finish is awesome and the staying power is pretty good as well.  The formula can be a little powdery and some of the colors do take a bit to build up but you can’t be the price! I also really love the shimmer blush that is in the palette.  It reminds me a bit of Orgasm by Nars… I’m now going to do a swatch test lol 🙂

LOC One & Done Shadow Sticks in On Point and Day Trip– $10.00 Each

I like to use these shadow sticks as a base for other eye shadows.  I find that for me they are not enough on their own.  I do have oily eyelids so I find that all day wear with these will leave me with some creasing or they will just straight up disappear from my eyelid. But, they do make a great base and they work well with the BH Cosmetics palette as some of the shadows are not as pigmented and the base color really helps to bring out the best in the shadow stick and the powder eye shadow set the cream.  All in all its a win win!

Ipsy January 2014

It is time for the Ipsy bag! Let’s see what the January 2014 Ipsy bag has for me.

Alright first off, the bag.  Its ok not a favorite but not my least favorite.  I will probably end up re-gifting this one but it is a good material that feels like it would be easy to wipe off.

First off I see Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner by Sexy Hair.  I already have a full size of this product and I really like it so a travel size will be great to throw in overnight bag.

Next is Proactiv+ Mark Fading Pads.  I have used Proactive products in the past and they really mess up my skin.  I used these once and they didn’t seem to irritate my skin.  However there are only four so I don’t think I will be able to tell a difference with four uses.

Very excited about this product I have never heard of the brand before.  This is Malin+Goetz Mojito Lip Balm.  It smells like a mojito but is definitely more moisturizing.  This is a clear gel and I have used it twice.  I haven’t notice my lips are super soft or extra hydrated but it didn’t dry out them out either.

Up next is another product I am excited to try out.  This is Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow Creamy Eye Pencil in the shade ‘Penny’.  This is a super smooth formula that goes on like a dream, it feels like a gel.  I also like the color, I don’t think I own anything close to this shade.

I have heard of the brand skiin but I have never tried anything from them.  This is the Soothing and Smoothing Eye Cream. I haven’t tried this yet but I haven’t committed myself to any eye cream buecase I just keep using samples I get.  Maybe I will find my ‘Holy Grail’ or forever use a different eye cream every other week.  We shall see.
