Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation

Have you ever heard about a product that everyone seems to be using and finally one day you pick it up and literately kick yourself for not trying it sooner?  Well  I didn’t kick myself but I did ask myself what took me so long… It seems that quite a few of the YouTube channels I watch have been using this foundation and recently it was on sale and I had a coupon, so I thought what the hay, I will give it a try.  Oh my word, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

I have stayed away from Covergirl products in the past for two reasons.  1.  When I was first starting out with makeup, Covergirl was the cheapest, so that’s what I bought and it holds a lot of bad makeup decision memories for me….  2.  Covergirl has made me breakout in the past, so I pretty much just swore off the whole line, which I now realize was stupid!

This foundation has great coverage and has done an awesome job of keeping my oily skin somewhat matte throughout the day.  I will say, for me personally, I still use a primer and a concealer.  But I have bad skin, if you have clear skin, you may be able to skip these products and only use the foundation as advertised.

Mascaras, Mascaras….

Alright you all know my obsession with find the best mascara right?  I mean how hard is it to create a formula that lengthens, thickens,  curls and makes your lases look luscious?  Apparently it is impossible because I have yet to find one that does all of the above.  During my last online shopping spree at Sephora I needed to spend a bit more money to get my free shipping so I headed to the ‘Palettes and Value Sets’ section of the site to see if I could find a deal. And low and behold look what I found….

Review of Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara — Walmart $4.97

I went to Wally World last week and headed over to the makeup aisle as I always do whether I need anything or not. I was however on the hunt for a waterproof mascara as my allergies have been acting up.  My go to waterproof mascara is Wash-Off  Waterproof from Avon.

It really is a great product but you know me and my unfaithfulness to mascara, I am always on the prowl for the latest and greatest.  I didn’t want to spend more than $6 so I headed to Wally. I have not really heard anything about this particular line from Revlon and to be honest I don’t think I have used a mascara from Revlon before.

First Impression: Formula seemed a little thick and I don’t like spidery looking lashes so I was nervous what the results would be.  The brush is pretty big which means I will get it all around my eyes.  Actually the brush size might have nothing to do with it, I think I just make a mess when I put on mascara regardless of the size of the brush.

Application: For a Semi-thick formula it went on pretty smoothly.  I did notice the effects of spider legs starting to appear with a second coat so I don’t think that this is layering mascara, and if it is you will need to do it fast.  My first coat wasn’t dry when I started to get the spider effect.  I did end up getting mascara on my eyelid but again, I think that is just me, but I don’t think the large size of the brush was doing me any favors either.

Conclusion: This mascara “plumped” up my eyelashes and made them fuller and gave a bit of volume  but did not add any substantial length.  Next time I wear this mascara I will first put on a lengthening mascara and then layer this on top and see if I like the results better.
