Makeup Geek Duochromes!!

Looks like ordinary eyeshadows right? Nope guess again these are amazing and better yet they change color!! I’m all in 😉

Prism–

All About This Color:
This eye-catching duochrome is no optical illusion! The light bounces off Prism to create a dynamic display of color. Its silky smooth texture and gorgeous finish are unlike anything you’ve seen before!

The Bottom Line:
Prism has a white base with peachy-pink reflects.

Wildfire–

All About This Color:
Love is a burning thing, and our love for this duochrome is spreading like wildfire! A force to be reckoned with, this warm and intense shade applies beautifully and will surely set any look ablaze. It’s easy to get swept up by Wildfire!

The Bottom Line:
Wildfire has a red-coral base with gold reflects.

Sugar Rush–

All About This Color:
Calling all candy junkies! Uncontrollable energy and super sweet vibes abound when you’re wearing this duochrome—it’s delectably creamy and beautifully saturated. Satisfy your cosmetic sweet tooth with Sugar Rush!

The Bottom Line:
Sugar Rush has a translucent base with icy blue and purple reflects.

Hologram–

All About This Color:
Take your look from flat to multidimensional with a little help from Hologram. This smooth and pigmented duochrome works with the light to project an irreplicable shade that’s vibrant, metallic, and uniquely you.

The Bottom Line:
Hologram has an orangey-pink base with green and gold reflects.

Kaleidoscope–

All About This Color:
More than a duochrome, Kaleidoscope’s constantly changing color has landed it the nickname “quadrichrome” here at the Makeup Geek headquarters. Purple one moment and teal the next, this extraordinary shade adds multiple layers of dimension with minimal fallout.

The Bottom Line:
Kaleidoscope has a slate blue base with pink, purple, and teal reflects.

Unfortunately, these are no longer available in the pressed format but they are available in loose pigment form.

Makeup Geek Blushes!

Makeup Geek recently came out with a reformulation of their blushes and added some new colors to the collection.

I have two shades from the first launch and I thought they were pretty good, but the formula on the new ones are much more creamy and pigmented. And that is saying a lot because the old formula was pretty dang good!

Love Letter— Love Letter is a dusty mauve with a matte finish

Xoxo–XOXO is a watermelon pink with a matte finish

Blind Date— Blind Date is a cantaloupe pink with a matte finish

Romance–Romance is a peachy coral with a golden shimmery finish

These blushes are super pigmented!!! And the formula is like butter, so smooth and creamy for a powder.

These are the two blushes I have of the old formula (which is still a good formula!)

Spell Bound— Spell Bound is a light salmon with a matte finish

Love Affair— Love Affair is an intense pink coral with a matte finish

Unexpected on inner third of eye lid and Glamorous on outer third with Sigma E20 Cocoa Bear blended in crease with Sigma E35; Corrupt used as liner on upper lid using Sigma E15; Glamorous and Unexpected mixed and used together on lower lash line with a clean E15; Filled in brows with the e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit in Light. Two coats of L’ORÉAL Extra Volume Collagen Mascara in Black on top lashes and one coat on bottom lashes. ** All Shadows used can be bought individually or in the Makeup Geek Starter Kit and Z-Palette Bundle **

The rest of my face.. Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Foundation in Buff applied with a damp Beauty Blender. Dusted face with Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder in Porcelain Ivory with Sigma F30. Used Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer and light contour; applied with Sigma F35 and blended out with e.l.f. Studio Powder Brush. Elizabeth Mott “Tints and Sass” used as blush, blended with fingers (review here) On the lips is Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever (review here)
