Damascus Rose Face Cleansing Oil

What It Is: A soothing, antioxidant-rich cleanser for dry to delicate skin.  (Is my skin dry…No… but it has rose in the name so I had to try it!)

What It Does: Castor and Apricot lift impurities while Olive, Sunflower, and Jojoba replenish essential vitamins, fatty acids, and lipids. Clears away makeup and impurities— leaving your skin feeling clean, balanced, and nourished. This Rose blend will fill your heart with love while it evens your skin tone!

Key Ingredients:  Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Oil Jojoba Seed Oil, Apricot Oil, Castor Oil, Lavender Oil, Rose Oil and Chamomile Oil.

How it Looks/Feels/Smells: Of the cleansing oils I’ve used this one is a little bit thicker then the others.  It also does not smell like rose… 😦  It has a strong scent of lavender which I’m fine with I was just expecting something in a pink bottle and with Rose in the name to smell like roses… crazy I know! 🙂

Why I Like It/Don’t Like It: This oil is also different then the other cleansing oils in the way that you wash it off.  All other cleansing oils wash off with water.  The directions say to use a wet warm wash cloth to remove the oil after massaging it into your face.  I of course did not do that and just used my hands and water and was left with makeup smeared all over my very oily face.  So I walked to the hall closet and got out a washcloth and used it to wipe off the the oil.  Surprise… yes children you should probably follow the directions! This does have an extra step compared to other cleansing oils but I do like this one a lot as my skin feels very clean and moisturized.

  1. This sounds more like a “true” oil cleansing where it doesn’t emulsify with water, but you need to wipe it off rather than rinse. It’s better suited for dryer skin types, but to me, it’s more of a hassle! I like the rinse off kind… #lazy
