Micellar Water Reviews: Simple vs Boots vs Bioderma

So earlier this week I gave you the lowdown on what Micellar Water is and how it works.  Today I’ll let you know about the three brands that I tested and how they all worked.  Good news, they all work well! However one is just a bit above the others in performance but I would be happy to use any of the three.

First we will discuss the Simple Cleansing Micellar Water.  Out of the three this was my least favorite but it still is a good product.  My main complaint is that this doesn’t really break down mascara (regular or waterproof) that well.  None of the three Micellar waters I tested have a scent and they all were gentle on my eyes with no stinging or redness.

The Boots Botanics All Bright Micellar Cleanser worked better then the Simple Micellar Water to breakdown mascara but it was still a chore to remove waterproof.  Minus that, it worked better then the Simple on my mascara I would say that the two of these are on par with each other in terms of removing makeup.

Now here comes the grandaddy of all Micellar Cleansers and that is Bioderma Sensibio H2O.  In recent years this has been a unicorn to find in the US while extremely popular in Europe.  The website Beautylish started selling Bioderma Products this year so I snatched up a 500 Ml Bottle with a pump (sorry its no longer available with a pump 😦   ) hoping that it would be life changing and be all that everyone in Europe claimed it was.  Well what do you know its pretty gosh darn fantastic.  While all three Micellar waters work well, Bioderma is just a step above in removing more makeup with less product and it removes waterproof mascara easily. I’ve also used it to remove fiber lashes and it is hands down the best thing I’ve ever used.  Now you maybe balking at the price of nearly $20.00 but you seriously don’t need a lot of this product.  I’ve been using my 500 ML bottle nearly every day for 3 months and haven’t used a quarter of it yet.
