Bahama Mama from theBalm is one of my all time favorite Bronzers. It is a wonderful neutral matte brown, it does not have a reddish shade which I appreciate. A lot of bronzer (high-end and drugstore) contain shimmer (which is not good for my acne scarred skin) and tend to come off muddy and orange on my fair skin. This is a bronzer that I think would work on anyone with fair skin like me to a medium skin tone. I have also used this as an eye-shadow, it works great as a crease color.
Everywhere I look it seems that people are trying the Tangerine Lip trend. I wasn’t really into it at first but seeing several celebrities pull it off so gracefully made me decide to take the plunge. My biggest tip is to keep the rest of your makeup to a minimum. I usually go for a very neutral eye and blush when I wear a tangerine lip. Otherwise I feel like it is too much going on and I want my lips to take center stage.

I am wearing Avon Shine Attract in Make My Day
I have used pressed powder bronzer and cream bronzer, but never a loose powder bronzer. When I saw this in an Avon magazine, I knew I had to give it a try! This is actually a dark foundation color and not advertised as a bronzer but I thought it might just work. When I first received this I thought the color looked way too dark, but after using it several times now, I think its a new favorite. The powder is super smooth and silky and blends in like a dream.
Birchbox time! First off the packaging is different than the usual pink. The red is fun and unexpected!
February’s theme is step and Repeat, BB partnered with UsWeekly to bring us a box to get award show ready!
First off is a two in one product, shout out to multi-tasking! Whoot Whoot!! This is Eleven Skin Perfection Eye Cream + Concealer. I’m very excited to try this as I need an eye cream and a under eye concealer as I’m about out of both.
Next is a bar soap from Ayres in the scent Patagonia. The base of the soap is Shea butter (super mosterizing) with essential oils of jasmine, lavender , ylang-ylang and fir. This soap has a very strong woodsy/musk scent. I’m excited to try this and who doesn’t use soap?!
Up next in my little red box is a sample size paper packet, (not foil… J ) of the Juara Candlenut Body Creme. I’ve never heard of this brand or its featured oil Candlenut so I’m curious to try this and see what the deal is.
Next is a sample of the Juicy Couture La La Malibu. According to the packaging this perfume scent “embodies the effortlessly glam California attitudes while embracing the bold and colorful spirit of L.A. ” Don’t know about all that but the scent of mandarin and Sweet Pink Sugar is pretty awesome.
Lastly is the Beauty Protector Protect and Oil. I have the brands detangler and it is amazing. This oil smells heavenly and I’m looking forward to using it. I have a feeling I will fall in love and need to use some BB point’s to buy a full size…..

It’s that time again… Ipsy bag time!
First off, this bag smells a lot better than the last one! I don’t think I mentioned that in my post but the bag had a very strong smell of plastic. Like stinky plastic, just yuck. Anywho, this bag smells better so that’s a plus. On to what is inside the non-smelly bag…
First I see the City Color Be Matte Blush in Fresh Melon. What a pretty color, but wait what’s this, its wrapped in bubble wrap but arrived broken L Whomp Whomp…. I contacted Ipsy and they said I should be getting a new one shortly. J This is a huge blush and according to the City Color website retails for $2.99, so not a high end item. But hey if it works, I am totally down with paying $2.99!!
Next is a Zoya nail polish in the color Odette (reminds me of Swan Lake ). I like Zoya nail polish and this is a very pretty light spring color. But look at the box! Not impressed with damages Ipsy….
Next is a pop beauty Plump Pout lip gloss in Peony Petal. No swatch for this one as I have a couple dozen (no joke) lip glosses and this is not an usually color I don’t have. Someone will be receiving this as a gift…. But I have used other Pop Beauty Lip glosses and I like them a lot so I’m sure this one is pretty awesome.
Next is a two in one product (yeah for multi-tasking!). ‘tini Beauty Eyetini Eye Cordial Shadow+Base in Spiced Rum. This is a bright color that I am excited to try out. When first applied it is very bright and metallic. After I blended it out it toned down in color and when it dries (which took a little longer then I liked) it is super silky.
Lastly is a sample of the NuMe Intense Renewal Mask. I love love love NuMe products. I swear by their hot tools, they are the only tools I have used that give me a lasting curl on my fine hair. I have used a sample of this mask before and love it, it’s A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
Overall minus the broken and damaged packaging, this is a good Ipsy bag.
Zoya Nail Polish in ‘Odette’ :: $9.00
NuMe Intense Renewal Mask:: $29.99

We’ve all been there. Deciding what to wear so you don’t have to shave your legs. Don’t lie ladies, we all do it. For me I don’t shave because I’m lazy. But maybe you have other reasons. A friend of mine asked me recently what I used to shave my legs as she couldn’t seem to find a shaving cream that didn’t dry her legs out. I have a bottle of shaving cream in my shower but honestly I don’t reach for it that often when once in a blue moon I do decided to shave the forest that is my legs. Here are some of the things I use instead.
I always shampoo twice and condition once. So I always run out of shampoo before conditioner. I use whats left over to shave my legs. It is really moisturizing and definitely cost effective. My mom has not used a shaving cream in years, she exclusively uses conditioner. TRESemme with Pro-Vitamin B5 & Aloe
If you are like me you go through body wash like there is not tomorrow but have bottles upon bottles of lotions and body butters. Put them to good use and use them to shave those legs! This is a great way to get through a bottle of lotion that you aren’t particularly fond of. You are literally pouring it down the drain, but you have put it to use so you can feel good about it. Tree Hut Olive and Shea Body Butter, Lavender and Chamomile
Avon has some fantastic bath oils and they often run sales. This is also super moisturizing and it leaves your legs feeling extremely soft. Avon’s oils dry pretty quickly so this is a great option for summer if you don’t want to have that lotion-y feeling that using body butters/lotions to shave can give you. Skin So Soft Signature Silk Bath Oil
This is a great choice if you have super dry legs as you will not only be moisturizing but taking care of removing dead skin. Make sure to use a scrub that has a good consistency. I like the scrub that I use to shave with to be a little more liquid-y then what I use for my face. 100% Pure Body Scrub Coconut
